To start off the school year we drove out to Idaho to be there for Katie's wedding. It was so worth the drive to be there! Jake is a great addition to the family! We had great times with cousins and all cried when we had to leave. As always.
While getting ready for the reception we took a break for a birthday party for Jack and Cade. Always a good time with a pinata...even in the nursery room at church.
The reception was wonderful with beautiful decor and the best food! All the ice cream, cotton candy and punch the kids could eat. And that they did. The baked potato bar was awesome too. Kaitlyn LOVED the dance!
After a long drive home we were ready to stay put for a while. To make up for having to spend his actual birthday sitting in the car the entire day, we threw Cade had a "Camp Cader" birthday party with a monkey bridge, fishing, target shooting, firepit and all. It was a lot of fun with a lot of kids!
The kids wanted to take ice skating lessons. They did great and can now go out on the ice without falling as soon as they get out there.
Kaitlyn and Mekenzie sure love playing. They were into making up plays and performing them for us. Always dressed up and in some imagination land when they're together.
For fall break the kids and I went bowling one day. What great kids they are!
We invited some friends over and had a gross-out Halloween dinner.Hope to keep this tradition going.
Found these pumpkin carving templates online. The kids each picked which one they wanted to do.
Before trick-or-treating we needed something good to eat. How about an eel? Tasty!
The girls were witches and Cade was a Ninja this year. They filled their buckets going around our neighborhood. Our kids don't know how good they have it. They can just walk from house to house and fill up their buckets in a matter of minutes. Not like when I grew up and we had to drive from house to house out in the country. Sometimes in the snow.
The were a little nervous walking up to this door.
We wanted to enjoy the beautiful fall colors up in the smokies and decided to rent a cabin with the Pulvers for a night. This is our visitor that came to the back deck. We fed it oreos and crackers. He loved us!Next morning we went on a beautiful hike/walk. Just about 7 months preggers here.
We have an annual tradition to go to a pumpkin patch with the Pulvers each year. We were glad to be back in Tennessee and return to one we went to in the past.
We then went to another pumpkin patch a few days later. So many fun things for us to do!
Cade could have done this all day! He loved driving this around the track.
We packed it in and had a blast doing some great things together!
